Being in balance
The flames surround the Earth and represent all our plans, struggles, thoughts, and habits. They show how difficult it is to maintain a balance between destruction and preservation. The flame has two faces: as a warming, protective force, it stands for confidence and harmony; as a consuming power, it symbolizes threat and destruction.
The Alps, in particular, as a sensitive natural environment, illustrate the challenge of maintaining a balance between the use and protection of nature. “Fire Earth” serves as food for thought on how to uphold this balance responsibly—for our actions determine the future and the fate of our planet.
