What Was and What Will Be
Combining a historic elevator with modern design, the sculpture invites viewers to reflect on the interplay between preservation and progress. “Tradition is yesterday’s innovation,” is engraved on the sculpture, serving as a reminder that true innovation often lies in preservation and careful adaptation. The horizontal element connecting the columns illustrates how ideas and energy can flow in both directions. In this way, tradition and innovation become equal partners.
The sculpture invites us not to discard the old, but to use it as a foundation for the new, thereby creating a connection that both honors the past and shapes the future.
